OPALESCENT COLOR PALETTE

I was browsing through The Bride's Guide - Martha Stewart Weddings Blog - and there is an opalescent series being featured that I wanted to share.

Opal is my birthstone and I love it, but you don't see it often. Usually, it's only synonymous with bad 80's prom or bridesmaid dresses ... and yes, I had one, it was for my eighth grade dance and it was Teal! LOL

moving on ...  I love that it has been brought to the next level and is being featured as a wedding palette inspiration!

as decor ...

How awesome are those?!! They look like floating bubbles and would give any location a ethereal feel.

as bridal-wear

I die for that purple one! Not one of my friends would have to feel bad for forcing me to buy that dress!

as bridal jewelry

This would be an amazing gift ... and if your crafty, you could totally make some of these for your bridesmaids.

as a boutineer

This, by far, is my favorite. The leaves really look opalescent and hold its own without flowers. I love the dark veins running through it, they provide contrast while giving it dimension and adding to the texture.

as favors

These would totally dress up any table. Especially if your trying to be conservative on your centerpieces!

See more of the feature here.
